Specialized's S-Works Tarmac may be the optimal bike for winning a Grand Tour, but chances are, you're not going to be competing in Southern France this season. But when you need a bike that's ready to annihilate the competition on your training rides and local races, the S-Works Tarmac Frameset is hard to beat. To get the weight around 800 grams, Specialized utilized advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and layup of their new FACT 12r carbon. The material optimization allowed them to shed nearly 200 grams. That's right, a 20% reduction in frame weight—the perfect recipe for your next hill climb PR. While stiffness aids in the aforementioned, compliance must also be utilized for an optimal ride quality. That's why Specialized designed a seatpost that builds compliance into the upper 120mm where clamping doesn't happen, dropped the seatstays, and altered the seat tube shape. They also added tire clearance up to 30mm, which translates to a 28mm Turbo Cotton on a Roval SLX 24 rim. This allows lower pressures for decreased rolling resistance, increased traction, and more comfort. Altogether, these additions still have the Tarmac riding like a true race-machine, but just takes a bit of the sting out of those road imperfections. Specialized knows that aerodynamics are the most important thing they can do to make you faster. Bora-Hansgrohe and Team Quick Step Floors Pro Tour riders, after all, are demanding aero improvements on every bike. With this, the aero goal was to discover where they could essentially "add aero for free," by not taking anything away from the hallmarks of the Tarmac design. During the six-month iterative process, three areas were discovered where they could do this—a new fork shape, dropped seatstays with aero tubes, and a d-shaped seatpost and seat tube. The result? A bike that's approximately 45 seconds faster over 40km compared to other lightweight bikes in the same category. A speed savings that you'll feel when you're attacking off the front of the peloton. - Featuring Rider-First Engineered design that ensures every frame size has the same legendary climbing responsiveness and descending prowess you'd expect from a Tarmac, the S-Works FACT 12r frameset is their highest quality carbon frame, offering the ideal blend of light overall weight and targeted stiffness. This Ultralight iteration also features 10g paint finish that saves every possible gram. - S-Works full FACT carbon fork with a tapered construction provides incredible front end stiffness and steering response for instantaneous accelerations and high-speed descents. - With its high-modulus construction, the S-Works FACT carbon Tarmac seatpost provides impeccable power transfer, while still allowing for ample compliance for long days in the saddle.

If you’re like us, the last thing that you want is your bike holding you back from having the ride of your life. If you see rough roads or flowy singletrack, we want you to ride it, not think, “That looks fun, but I can't do it on this bike.” We're tired of our fun being restricted, and that's why we developed the new Diverge Expert X1. Now, you can get out there and not only explore new roads, but entirely new rides—we promise that the bike won’t be a limiting factor. The Diverge is more capable than ever. And with the constant goal to best meet your needs, we took your number one request into account—tire clearance. The new frame will comfortably fit up to 700x42mm tires or 650b x 47mm tires. Along with tire clearance, weight was a large factor in the development, and taking some design cues from the development of the Roubaix, we developed a FACT 9r carbon frame that’s one of the lightest in its category. Next up, we moved away from a traditional ‘cross geometry, instead opting for something that hasn’t been seen before—our Open Road Geometry. You can think of it as a road version of modern trail bike geometry. It provides playful handling and predictable steering for endless dirt skids and mid-corner drifts. The geo features a bottom bracket that's over a half-centimeter lower than the previous Diverge, a slacked-out head tube angle, short chainstays, and a short wheelbase. These changes make for a bike that's not only fun in the dirt, but also performs well on the road. And while riding gravel and dirt roads on a road bike may add to the adventure, there’s only so much that wider tires with lower pressures can absorb, in terms of bumps. With this in mind, we implemented a new version of our Future Shock into the Diverge design. It not only soaks up bumps with ease, but also adds the benefit of extremely predictable handling. That's because the wheelbase isn’t lengthening when you hit a bump, so the front end of the Diverge keeps the same effective head tube angle. In other words, when you dive hard into a turn, you won’t be surprised by under-steer or sloppy handling. Unlike the original Future Shock (found on the Roubaix), the Diverge's version features a progressive spring that makes this technology more suitable for off-road applications, where stiffer suspension is often needed to soak-up larger bumps and obstacles. To add to its multifaceted talents, we topped it off with three water bottle mounts, mounts for racks and fenders, and our Road SWAT™ kit that fits a tube, CO2, CO2 head, valve extender, and money clip. So while it’s one of the most smile-inducing bikes you’ll ever ride, it’s equally adept at commuting or even bikepacking. And for the spec, we made a no-compromise build, with a full SRAM Force 1 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, Roval C38 carbon wheels, and fast-rolling 700x38mm Sawtooth tires. - The FACT 9r carbon frame features our adventure-bound Open Road Geometry, Future Shock Progressive suspension with 20mm of travel, and front/rear thru-axles, making it the ultimate tool for your next adventure. - The lightweight FACT carbon fork is plenty stiff, aiding in handling and a light overall weight. - Yep, that's right—carbon wheels on an Expert-level bike. The Roval C38 Disc carbon wheels bring performance to the masses. They're lightweight, durable, and ready for your next adventure.

While the real fun starts where the road ends, you still need a bike that'll get you there—one bike that shreds flowy singletrack, gravel, and traditional roads with equal authority. A more capable road bike won't cut it, nor will a more road-worthy 'cross bike for that matter. No, you need a dedicated gravel bike like the Diverge. First and foremost, it's fun and always down for a good time, but with a progressively-tuned Future Shock, our fast and stable Open Road Geometry, and plenty of tire clearance, it redefines the possibilities for adventure on a drop-bar bike. Whether you're a gravel pro or not is still up for debate, but your burning desire for pro kit has been noted and fulfilled with this Diverge Pro. The build goes all out with a focus on getting every ounce of performance possible for your money. It features Shimano's Ultegra Di2 groupset with a clutched Ultegra RX rear derailleur that's built for rough terrain, lightweight Roval CL 32 carbon wheels, our butt-friendly S-Works CG-R seatpost that's been topped with a fan-favorite Power Pro saddle, and Easton's EC70 AX Carbon Flare Adventure Bars. - Clearance for either 700x42mm or 650b x 47mm tires? Check. Three water bottle mounts, mounts for racks and fenders, and our Road SWAT kit. The Diverge not only has everything you need for pretty much any pedal-powered adventure—whether it's gravel racing, bikepacking, or weekend shredding—and does so at a frame weight that's close to today's high-end road bikes. Sure, you might be thinking more plaid flannel than Polka Dot Jersey, but you'll thank us on your next dirt climb. - You can think of the Diverge's geometry as a road version of a modern trail bike. It provides playful handling and predictable steering for endless dirt skids and mid-corner drifts, but keeps stiffness up to snuff for your inner-racer. Along with a bottom bracket that's over a half-centimeter lower than the previous Diverge, we also slacked-out the head tube angle, shortened the chainstays, and made a shorter wheelbase. The result? A bike that performs equally well over both the dirt and road. - There's only so much that wider tires with lower pressures can absorb when it comes to bumps, but this is where our Future Shock comes into play. It not only soaks up bumps with ease, but it also adds the benefit of extremely predictable handling. That's because the wheelbase isn't lengthening when you hit a bump, so when you dive hard into a turn, you won't be surprised by under-steer or sloppy handling. The Diverge's version also gets a special treatment featuring a progressive spring that makes this technology more suitable for off-road applications, where stiffer suspension is often needed to soak-up larger bumps and obstacles.

The Limited-Edition S-Works Shiv Disc features a limited colorway that, depending on the light, is a multitude of different colors. Only 500 individually numbered, limited-edition bikes, and their accompanying custom travel cases, will be available for pre-order, so make sure to get yours soon. We've never been one for dogmatic rules, so with a little defiance of the UCI's rulebook, the Shiv, again, sets the new standard for speed. It keeps its aero, fuel, and fit focus, but does so in a whole new light. Yes, it has disc brakes. Yes, it’s easy to travel with. And yes, it takes aero to unheard of heights using storage and fit features to also make you faster. There’s only one bike that’s going to help get you to the top of the podium this season, and that’s the S-Works Shiv Disc. Superlatively aerodynamic. Win Tunnel Engineered. Crosswind-optimized. Not even close to UCI-legal. It might sound like good marketing, but each of these is the core design tenets that went into the Shiv Disc. And while aerodynamics was our number one design priority, we still put a large focus on weight, stiffness, and ride quality to ensure that it’s the best riding and handling triathlon bike you've thrown a leg over. What was that about storage? Just like with the original Shiv, the Shiv Disc features both Hydration and Nutrition Fuelcell storage options, but we didn’t simply reuse them. Instead, we designed them from the ground up. We moved the Hydration Fuelcell from inside the frame to the rear of the bike. Now, it's entirely hidden within the frame (even the hydration hose), which not only allows for more fluid capacity, but it also helps with aerodynamics. The Nutrition Fuelcell utilizes the additional volume created by the "New Shape of Speed" for the down tube, and this creates plenty of room for snacks. How many snacks? 10-12 gels, 4-5 bars, or 5-6 chews fit with ease, and it can also be removed to easily access the Shimano Di2 A-Junction Box or a flat repair kit. We also made sure that the Shiv is plenty adjustable for you to dial in your fit. The frame comes in four different sizes that are based on over 1,000 Retül fits with actual athletes, all to ensure that your ideal fit is achievable. Adjustability was also high on the list for the aero bars, extensions, and arm pads, so the cockpit is adjustable on nearly every access. Need more or less base bar stack? Simply loosen a single bolt on each side and tilt it up or down. The aero bars, themselves, also offer plenty of adjustability—fore, aft, and pad width, all with aggressive and relaxed positions in mind. An added bonus of this adjustability is the ease of travel. All you have to do is fold the base bar down to the fork, unbolt the cockpit, and your Shiv is ready for the bike box. We couldn't make it any easier. To ensure that it's “race-ready right out of the box,” we’ve spec’d the S-Works Shiv Disc with only the top components. Shimano’s Dura-Ace Di2 with hydraulic disc brakes is in charge of both shifting and braking duties. Our S-Works Power Cranks, meanwhile, provide you with all the data you’d ever need. And it's not only the lightest power meter out there, but it also has the best real-world accuracy at +/-1.5%. For the rolling stock, the Roval CLX 64 Disc wheels are not only extremely aerodynamic, but they're far lighter than other wheels in their class. - The incredibly aerodynamic, crosswind-optimized, and non-UCI-legal FACT carbon frame features all the details you’ve asked for. It’s packable, adjustable, has our Hydration and Nutrition Fuelcell systems, and it makes it easy to find your perfect fit. The new "Shape of Speed" philosophy optimizes each tube shape around aerodynamics, weight, and stiffness, and this creates the opportunity for functional integration without compromising speed. - The cockpit not only takes aerodynamics seriously, but it also allows for a multitude of adjustments. As an added bonus, it easily unbolts from the frame, and the base bar folds down parallel to the fork. This makes packing headaches a thing of the past. - We've combined our incredibly light and stiff S-Works carbon fiber road cranks with dual-sided power measurement. It's the lightest (440g/172.5mm) and most accurate (+/- 1.5%) power meter available.
